E-Power and EAC Conduct Nationwide Training on 3-Phase Smart Meter Modem Installation and Billing System Integration
As part of its ongoing mission to support digital transformation and smarter utility operations in Cambodia’s energy sector, E-Power CCL, together with the Electricity Authority of Cambodia (EAC), organized a two-day training course from September 16–17, 2025, at the EAC headquarters.
The training brought together 209 private electricity licensees from across the country to enhance their technical capabilities in installing modems on 3-phase smart meters and connecting them to the EAC billing system. This initiative is a key step toward improving data accuracy, remote monitoring, and operational efficiency in electricity distribution and billing.
Participants learned how to:
- Install modems on 3-phase smart meters for seamless connectivity
- Remotely check, transmit, and download data for improved monitoring and analytics
- Integrate smart meter data directly into the EAC billing and data management system
- Optimize operations through real-time data access and automated workflows
By equipping electricity providers with these advanced technical skills, the program supports the broader goal of modernizing Cambodia’s energy infrastructure. The adoption of smart metering technology and automated billing not only improves service reliability and operational transparency but also sets the foundation for future innovations in the country’s power sector.
